Replacement Windows (set of 2)
Windows should be cleaned with the same care as lenses in an expensive camera, only with a soft microfiber cloth and eyeglass cleaner solution. If the timer windows are scratched, performance could be compromised, especially for the wide gates working at long distances. Sand in equestrian arenas can be especially abrasive if you try to clean the window without first removing the sand. Never use paper or your shirt to clean the windows.
The windows are easy to replace:
Find a table in a clean area with minimal dust in the air. Have a microfiber rag and cleaner solution handy
Remove the batteries.
Remove the four screws and carefully open the clamshell. Avoid touching the electronics.
Remove and dispose of the old window. The new window may look thinner; that is normal.
Remove the protective plastic tape from both sides of the new window. Hold the new window only by the edges to avoid leaving fingerprints on the inside, which can’t be cleaned. Do not lay the window down on any surface, as it may pick up dust; clean only with a wet microfiber rag if needed.
Place the new window in the clamshell slot and close it carefully, ensuring the switch cap is in place and the walls of the clamshell do not pinch the wires inside.
Replace the four screws, do not overtighten
