Timing Data That Works: Rosters, Classes, Events and Exports for Schools and Teams

A timer that only produces a list of times isn't a data system. Here's what athlete data management should look like when you're timing a whole program.

Plenty of timing gates can tell you a sprint took 4.82 seconds. The harder question is: whose 4.82, in which drill, on which day, and how does it compare with last month? Some systems don't even let you enter a roster or put a different name on each rep. Their "export" is just a list of times, and someone has to match names to numbers by hand afterward.
